Keith Lee and Charlotte Lester founded Dance Theatre of Lynchburg in 1999, creating accessible dance programming and establishing a dedicated arts facility in Lynchburg's revitalized downtown area. The facility now includes three spacious dance studios, a reception area, student lounge, the Helen McGehee Dance Library (featuring over three hundred dance books and films), The Laurie McCauley Costume Shop and The Mezzanine Gallery & Cafe as well as the affiliated Pilates Studio.
